The house in the back is Walter Thompson's, and the young folk are in the ground behind Crag View (where I was born) which had ?'s greenhouses in it when I was a kid. Willis's had an allotment where they are standing in front of the tent. Don't recognise any though.

|Hi David, thanks for the update. There are bungalows in there now, you can see them in the photo titled "Hazel Grove Road and Ash Grove" on the "Aerial views of Sutton" page in the gallery.

|It was Mr Horner who had the greenhouses David. Remember now? I well recall being sent down the Old Dyke to Horners to buy tomatoes to eke out the rations. Sixpence a pound in real money!

|Hi, It was nice to see Crag View mentioned. My aunt and uncle, Florrie and Arthur Storey, lived at number 8.
Weren't the Willis's the Skipton transport people ? I think their daughter was married to Brian Holdsworth, who I was apprenticed to at William Hartley's.
How the memories come flooding back !!
