Broadband
I presume Sutton still comes under the Crosshills Telephone Exchange.

What broadband speed can I expect in Sutton?

What Internet Service Providers have a presence at the Crosshills exchange? Any recommendations for an ISP would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, Sutton connects to the Crosshills exchange.

I have a 2MBIT connection with Virgin Broadband, 17.99 per month and it works great for what I want it for.

Some of the "cheaper", "unlimited" provider deals have higher contention ratios and will automatically downgrade your connection speed if you exceed bandwidth limits.

As I undersand it, once an exchange is ADSL broadband enabled by BT, all UK ADSL ISPs can have a presence.

Mark,

I'm on Sky's connect broadband service for 17 per month (can't get the 5 a month deal in Sutton yet as the lines haven't been upgraded).

Advertised as "upto 8Mb". Actual speed between 4 and 5Mb usually.

Good service

I have a 2mbit connection, and using the speedtest at www.broadband.co.uk I just got a download speed rating of 1888kbps and upload speed rating of 238kbps.

I am with plusnet broadband my step cousin I set up plusnet for her I set up the ultimate package now and I put her on normal basic package but compared to my old broadband sky connecting to my sky hd it is worser than sky hd broadband because when I download from my apple iphone on itunes it takes like 8 mins to download 3 songs when on sky hd broadband I got like 4 mins for 3 songs that is what i call a slow ISP provider and my step cousin is called emma.

I get 8mb from eclipse and a great service.
BT said they should expect around 6.5mb or more.

I have just attempted to read the previous message from 'Shouta' but I am unable to unravel anything which makes sense. Can anyone interpret it for me? Is it in English or a new language? Where do the full stops and commas fit in? Is it the speed of the internet connection that has removed them?
