Sutton-in-Craven Women's Institute


The W.I. meet on the second Monday of each month at 7.15pm.

Meetings are varied, and we hope, cater for many tastes, these include: different speakers, demonstrations, quiz nights, meals out and trips. There are also small competitions for fun. In the past we have had talks about badgers, family history, Cliffe Castle museum and the Leeds–Liverpool canal.

Sutton-in-Craven W.I. formed in 1953 and the first meetings were held in Bairstows Recreational Building. Later the meetings were held in the Community Primary School and then the Church of England VC Primary School.

Our current location for meetings is the Senior Citizens' Centre on North Street.

New faces are always welcome both as new members or guests. If you are not sure about joining W.I. you can come along to two meetings in the year at the cost of £2 per visit. If you are interested please come along or contact either:
