The WI meets monthly on the second Monday of each month at 7.15pm.

There is always a lively and varied programme of talks and demonstrations, eg. Cycling in Cuba, Birds of Prey, Financial Assistance, Cliffe Castle and a cake demonstration for Christmas. There are also small competitions for fun.

Outings in 2009 will visit Horticap at Harrogate and later in the summer Lancaster.

Sutton-in-Craven WI formed in 1953 and the first meetings were held n Bairstows Recreational Building. Later the meetings were held in the Community Primary School and then the Church of England VC Primary School. Our current location for meetings is the Senior Citizens Centre on North Street.
