Extracts from Sutton National School Log Book 1874-1887
The Church school is currently celebrating 150 years and, as a consequence, Paul Longbottom has transcribed a series of log book extracts covering the period 1874 to 1887. Paul has kindly provided a copy of the text, which I've added to the history section. The extracts give a fascinating glimpse into a bygone age.

Fantastic, thank you, but what on earth were 3 brown bears from the Pyrenees doing in Sutton, 1877, bet they never made it up to Cowling!
