the 'where we have flyered' thread
i thought it may be useful to have a thread dedicated to what has been delivered where, so we don't overlap or can see if anywhere's been left out.

Tonight (friday) we have done:
the bungalows below 'the acres' and all the houses on earl view. We have also done the houses on the left (as you go up) of west lane. Our printers runs out of ink and when we get some more tomorrow we will finish the larger houses and terrace cottages on west lane and do the acres.

Thanks to Neville for the loan of some flyers too!

Tonight Friday.
Done all of Station Road in crosshills including, Bank road, total of approx 90. Few people i spoke to knew some of the info but when pointed out the 500 houses going to spoil the view of some they were horrified.

Will do Back Station Road tomorrow.

This is brilliant!! Just for your info I too have been busy, I emailed or called directly no less than 20 newsdesks across north Yorkshire with a press release and also contacted look North, BBC radio yorkshire and the Yorkshire Press. If any of these approaches results in attention I will let you know here. I do not expect too much to happen now over the weekend but come Monday I will reconvene agressively with the press and make phone calls and follow up emails.

good work basil!

can you post up the contents of the press release so we can all use it if need be?

also, drop me an email address and i'll fire over the logo and fonts if you like.

i can take the pertinent points of the press release for the second flyer.

we can't do any today, but tomorrow will do:
the acres, crag lane, hall drive, hall way, hall avenue, north avenue, the rest of west lane, ellers road and bent lane. then that's another end of the village done.

can i just take this moment, in oscar acceptence style, to say i think it's inspiring and brilliant the way everyone's pulling together and putting their own time, effort and money.

Hi All
Sutton pretty much done now I reckon, started in Crosshills tonight, did all houses on road from Sutton into Crosshills, newish builds and terraced cottages behind Shops (Wilman & Wilman side). Then done all houses on both sides of the main road down to the traffic lights (i.e. from next to chip shop at top of Station Road down to Junction Pub), Fieldhead Drive, side street off post office. Its very noticeable how few people know about it in Crosshills - spoke to one lady who'd contacted Councillor Barrett and offered to drop leaflets - he said he thought it was in hand, but I'm not convinced that there is enough publicity yet there. We could do with some more volunteers to leaflet Crosshills tomorrow night. Have exhausted my 2000 leaflets now, thanks to Phil taking some too. Will print some more off for tomorrow - volunteers please contact me on 07798 698599. Thanks

Many thanks to all the Sutton people who have taken on the task of distributing flyers re the meeting at South Craven School to Crosshills and Glusburn residents. Your efforts are very much appreciated. Assuming the Councillors would be as concerned as we are about the Growth Point status I did email Cllrs Barrett and Beck and offer to deliver any information leaflets they may be producing and also to recruit volunteers to help them with this work.
I received a terse response rejecting my offer from Cllr.Barrett and no response from Cllr.Beck.
I am now distributing copies of the flyer supplied by Liz from Sutton to as many people as possible and recruiting where I can. Lisa is doing Clayton Hall estate and Helen is doing the Old Corn Mill area. I have distributed to the local walking group and other organisations. Has anyone done the White Bear estate yet? If not I will do it.

Hi Jean, as far as I am aware, it is only people like ourselves who seem to be promoting these leaflets - there has been nothing official from any councillor re flyers. Thanks for the great job you are all doing, in your own time and at your own expense. An "eco-town" would probably not pull together like this!!!

Great job everyone, keep it up. Please read my latest post to the NODISC thread - regarding tonight's Skipton meeting - some important figures - don't let Colin Walker try to bamboozle us all on Thursday with "facts" that aren't true. See you all on Thursday.
