Sutton Village Committee Christmas Lights

🎄,💡, Sutton Village Committee are pleased to announce that today has seen the completion of adaptation works to existing lampposts and new posts as part of our long planned expansion to fill the 'gaps' in Christmas Lights through the village. The light frames will be going up on Saturday and will be lit from Saturday evening. 🎄, 💡,

I would like to thank the committee and everyone involved for their work on the xmas lights. I have just walked through the village and they look absolutely fantastic! Very tasteful and festive. A credit to you, and to the village. Well done!

I echo that, and also add a huge vote of thanks to the Highways employees who had to suffer the most appalling weather whilst installing them.

The lights are looking really good - as usual! Many thanks for all the hard work - and especially yesterday in that appalling weather.

Wonder if you could tell me the costs and who is paying for the Christmas lights in Sutton, and is it only the columns which can be adapted - the middle section of Cowling's main street does not have lighting columns - the lights are attached to buildings - Thanks. (via Paul is ok)

The Christmas light frames on the lamposts around Sutton are put on the posts, removed, stored, bought, maintained and replaced by Sutton Village Committee (we have signs on each frame) the costs vary depending on the design and technology on each frame.
Only some metal posts can be adapted and need a socket , new fuse board, separate fuse and timer installing to enable a Christmas light to be put on, highways will quote for this but it's hundreds per post.
Many thanks
