Reference to 100 Years On
I do not want to comment on the actual pages of Andrew Monkhouse's marvelous record of Sutton's fallen heroes but, I have a question:-
This is a series of amazing insight, research and record of these soldiers. Is this being maintained in some other memorial cache? It is the kind of information that should be in an official archive that will be maintained for generations to come.
Here in Australia and in New Zealand it is ANZAC Day, which also reminded me of this dedicated work of Andrew's and hope that, in addition to the readers of this site his research results are being spread and retained for a wider audience. Andrew ? - Anyone ?

Hi Brenda, thanks for your comments :-) I've only posted the research that you refer to on this Sutton website. So I guess it will remain here for as long as the website stays active. After that I'm not sure. Hope the Anzac national day of remembrance went well today in Oz :-)

Thanks Andrew - I am sure it will be held here, but, I do feel it could and should be retained in another area also, one that is dedicated to holding information of the fallen for the future.

ANZAC Day - we went to the Caloundra dawn service as usual, it is so well done and worth the effort: it also gives us a chance to sing the New Zealand National Anthem as well as the Australian one !!
