Old Sutton Warriors
I would just like to congratulate Robin Longbottom on his excellent account of men who survived the Great War: fascinating detailed research of their service and a splendid photograph!
Also very interested to see that the 90th anniversary of the war memorial was commemorated and that all the names have been been researched. Could you possibly alert me to future war-related events? Members of the Bradford World War 1 Group are always keen to witness such things. We meet on 2nd Wednesday of each month, 10.15am at the Mechanics Institute Library, Kirkgate.

Hi Tricia, I am a frequent visitor to this website with relatives living in Sutton and visited in 2005 & 2008 and truly enjoy all topics and tonight yours caught my eye mainly because of your name!! My maiden name is Platts and I was wondering if we are related at all? I was born in Keighley in 1949 and lived in Silsden til 1962 when I emigrated to Aus with my mother Mabel Platts (nee Brown). It would be nice to get some info from you if we are related as I haven't been able to trace any of my Paternal relatives at all. Hope to hear from you soon.
