St George's Day
23rd April is fast approaching - what are Suttoners doing to celebrate St George's Day, the English equivalent of St Patrick's Day. Flying the flag? Themed quiz night at the Bay Horse? I hope so!

Perhaps everyone was away, celebrating the shared Saint's day with German friends... ;-)

The Bay Horse did us proud, decked out with flags and bunting.

A few householders did put a flag up, but they were in the minority.

St Andrew's church in Kildwick looked very picturesque with the flag of England fluttering in the breeze from the top of the tower. It would have been nice to see one flying above St Thomas's too. Maybe next year.
