The Palfreman Family
Seeing the name Neil Palfreman in one of the Forum subjects brought back memories.
As an apprentice overlooker at William Hartley's, part of my time was served under Bill Palfreman, who was the twisting Department overlooker.
I think Neil will be about my age - which I am not about to disclose !!!
Wasn't his older brother, Donald, a good snooker player ?
I also remember Jean Palfreman.
When you came out of our front door, 9 Eastfield Place, the Palfreman house was directly opposite - would that be Gordon Street ?
It really is wonderful to browse through the Sutton website - it brings back so many memories.
