As long as we don't trip up against Ukraine, then we'll have plenty to 'moon' the rest of the world about

David are you watching the games on satellite? For the first time Euro is not being shown live on free-to-air TV :-(

i've been watching live games via Setanta on Austar here in Wollongong and have watched highlights and games on SBS free to air, but as you say not live ones. Go England, not looking winners so far, i'm afraid to say, all over paid prima donnas, missing i think Rio Ferdinand at the back, not like the good old days of Bobby Moore & co, who gave life and limb to win. Keep our fingers crossed they can get passed Crotia and into the Quarters...... Yeah right xxxx

Hi there,
No I haven't got Fox etc. Rely on SBS World Game for highlights, mostly replays on free. By the way when were you last in UK? Did you hire a car? If so, with whom or any recommendations? By the way Kevin, I remember flying out of UK when England were playing Portugal in the semi's.

Hi David - have a look at udrive.com.au - they use well known companies.
we used them for NZL, USA and UK - suggest you dont choose Thrifty though, we had a good car but poor service.

Hi David, I was in England just last month, although I didn't hire a car. Spent some time in Devon visiting my sister and a couple of days in London.

Oh and I attended the 90th birthday party of my Aunty Rose (nee Monkhouse) in Surrey, how could I forget that! She is the sole surviving member of my Dad's generation

I think the last car I hired in the UK was from Sunwin motors, across from Morrison's in Keighley, but that was 12 years ago.

These days, as Brenda suggests, just check on-line for the best deals, easi peasi japanesi!

Thanks Andrew and Brenda. I am checking them out. We have to visit some friends in Devon/Cornwall that we met on our cruise earlier this year. Good to hear your medallion arrived safely Brenda, yes, they are great souvenirs.

Yes great win by England, as long as we’re not involved in any penalty shoot-outs we might be in with half a shout. OK maybe a quarter of a shout.

Hey David I was in Melbourne when the quake struck about 9.00pm a couple of nights ago, didn’t feel a damn thing! Mind you I was somewhat anaesthetised by that point on red wine during a dinner meeting in the Park Hyatt. The event certainly covered the front pages of the newspapers though the following morning.

Back to the footy, only 3 more days for Italian fans to obtain their anti-depressants ahead of their team’s demise …. possibly …. conceivably …. God-willing!
