Bonfire Night
Having just read the Winter Village News, i just wanted to comment on the Bonfire Night article.
I truly admire all the hardwork that the Sutton Village Committee put into all the events that they stage throughout all the year. However, having read the article about the 6,000 people that attended the Bonfire and only donated £2753 74p, i would put it to the Committee that maybe if they downsized the event and brought it back to being a " Sutton " Bonfire and not for the rest of South Craven, i think they would be surprised at how very generous us Sutton folk are.
Maybe the donations were from these very villagers themselves and not the X thousands of people who came from out of the village.
