I have a picture very similar to the one Mr Pickles has of Kildwick- painted by Edward Harrington, a resident of Sutton. He lived in Holme Lane, just below The Black Bull, and worked as a manager at Bairstow's mill.
His second wife, Frances, was the daughter of Mr Clough who had been headmaster at Sutton Church of England School.

Denis Pickles has sent a third scan of a Dan Binns watercolour painting with the following comment:

"A little while ago you put into the Gallery a couple of Dan Binns' watercolours which I have treasured for some time. The only other watercolour painted by him which I have in my possession is this one. It is a beauty but it is was not painted in the immediate vicinity of Sutton. There is nothing written on it to tell me the exact location and I'm wondering whether anyone can pinpoint the exact location. I believe it was painted on the river Wharfe between Barden and Burnsall. Am I wrong?"

The image has been added to the gallery page.
