uPVC windows and doors Rosemount Court Sutton
Hello to everyone,

Just a few lines to ask about people's views with regard to uPVC windows and doors at Rosemount Court in Sutton. The residents have this week had a letter from Craven District Council complaining about seven of the properties which have had some, but not all of their windows and doors replaced. They say we are in breech of an enforcement which says we cannot have uPVC. If anyone has an opinion on this matter either for or against we would be pleased to here from you.

I dont know about Rosemount court but I do know that if you are in a conservation area you need planning permission before replacing windows and doors. There is not normally a charge for the planning permission and if some have already been replaced there usually isnt a problem unless the council get complaints and they want to make everyone take out the plastic windows.
Hope this helps.
Speak to Gemma Whinray at Craven district Council planning dept shes very helpful.

Thanks for that info, we have been looking into the conservation area and it seems that we are on the edge of it, but not in it. The problem we have is that all of the houses that surround us including the conservation area do have uPVC windows and it doesn't seem fair that we are not going to be allowed.
