Hi Graham - will they reach a decision so quickly? Thought we might have to wait a while? Can't recall what happened last time...fingers crossed. Liz

PS Had a quick look on the Planning Inspectorate website and it says that appeals under the Inquiry method are usually decided within their timescale of 30 weeks!

Fantastic news - the appeal was dismissed. We live to fight another day. One battle won, but many more to come I fear. Congratulations to all. Lets keep up the good work :-)

A great result, congratulations to everyone involved in making this happen.

I've posted the full text of the decision in a separate thread titled Green Lane Appeal Decision in full - many of the points noted will be useful in future objections.

Excellent news.
well done everyone involved in fighting against this proposed development.
Glad the inspector took into account the views of the local residents
as liz says one battle won
but there will be plenty more in the future
about time we had a bit of good news

can somebody please explain how when decisions are made to refuse planning permission by planning inspectors that developers and housing associations
can keep coming back(with re drawn plans) until the get what they want?
And if decisions go the developers way first time then the public cannot get a fresh appeal against the decision
how is this democratic?
any info on the above would be much appriciated because i have a feeling muir housing group will be contesting the refusal of 74 new dwellings in Glusburn
