Attention of David Harrison-Young:
David I would like to congratulate you and your committee on an excellent effort on making Sutton a very festive village. The village is certainly the talking point on our community website; Cowlingweb and certainly for the right reasons.
I am on your site for the reason of insight and research! Driving through Cowling you will realise the village does not celebrate the festive season in fact we only celebrate Gala day. I think the lack of community spirit is down to people pointing fingers at others and thinking that it’s not their job; similar I would imagine to the people that you receive negative comments from!
I would like to ask upon your experienced opinion of how I go about organising a campaign to make Cowling festive, as you have certainly brought success and pride to your village.

Just to say congratulations to Sutton village committee for the Beautiful Christmas lights; they make the cold dark month of December a bit more cheerful and Sutton is certainly the best dressed village around at Xmas time. Well done to all! |
