Green Lane Appeal - decision quashed
Just in from Patrick Hargreaves...

Dear All

Green Lane Appeal - Planning Inspectors Decision overturned at the High Court

I've now received some bad news in that the Inspector's decision following the Appeal last December has now been quashed by the high court. We are now facing another 2 day public inquiry next March, where we understand both appeals will be considered together.

We will pass on more information as it comes to light.

Extremely bad news. This is a large greenfield site. If the next appeal goes against us, this could set a precedent for the South Craven area.

if they(the high court) can overturn the inspectors decision then what chance have the public got?
the inspectorate made a decision after a site visit and also letters , photos and evidence of why this planning application should have been rejected
to have all the evidence quashed by the high court is a total farce
as always the planners/builders win again(money talks !)
i can see most of sutton/crosshills /Glusburn becoming one massive urban sprawl within the next decade the only Green areas will be up on the tops by the pinnacle overlooking the aire valley
Democracy what a joke

I have just had a letter from craven district council regarding the dates for the 2nd appeal regarding the 74 new dwellings in Glusburn
there will be a public inquiry on the 11th and 17th of march at the council offices at granville street in Skipton both dates commence at 10 am
the case number if any one wants to google it is
APP/C2708/A/09/2098096

i urge as many as possible to try and attend or write regarding this case, because if this gets the go ahead i fear for the the whole region of craven in the future
