do you think a petition will do much good? the last time aireside taxis were involved in one councillor Barrett more or less said they were not worth the paper they were printed on ,and that the council did not take much notice of them

Dear All

In order for the petition to hold some legal clout, there is a covering letter which will be submitted with all the signatures at Wednesday's Council meeting at Skipton Town Hall. A copy of the covering letter will be put with the petitions in Sutton Post Office, Sutton Park Pavillion, Thorntons Butchers, Anne Russell Florist, Panache Hair Salon/barbers tomorrow morning.
Keep up the good work everyone, sign the petitions and be there on Weds - keep checking forum and CDC website for time - still don't know which is correct 7pm or 7.30pm.... or maybe they'll even switch it with the Policy meeting due to start at 6pm.... Keep vigilant.

Dear All

Following on from the hard copy petition that was handed into CDC at the Leeds City Growth Point Bid "Vote night", I have created a spreadsheet with all the names and addresses on it - this has been sent on disc via recorded delivery to the planning department with a request to put all names on the LDF database for future consultation. 1098 names in all!!!! Power to the People :-)

Liz, would you be willing to have a chat with Planning aid on behalf of NODISC? they require information and I simply dont know enough. They are a charity who offer a certain amount of professional help in fighting appeals.

Dear All
I have had a response from CDC Planning Department indicating that due to Data Protection they are not authorised to include the names on the petition on their LDF consultation database, without receiving authority from the individuals themselves. Could I ask that as many people as possible contact the planning department, either by e-mail on

ldf@cravendc.gov.uk

or by post to:

Planning Department
Craven District Council
Granville Street
Skipton
North Yorkshire
BD23 1PS

In your letter or e-mail please give your names, addresses and contact details and ask that you are included on the LDF consultation database, the more public that are included on the database, the fewer nasty planning shocks we should get in the future!

I'll also ask Dawn to put this onto Facebook site and do a mailing list.

Thanks all

Liz
