Showcase of local talent!
So I've had this idea of a local 'arts'-type festival in the village to include local artists and musicians as it's quite hard to 'get your name out there' and I know of quite a few local people who would be interested in showcasing.
The idea and a few names is pretty much as far as I've got so I'm appealing to other residents to get involved and help me out if they think the ideas a goer? I had thought about having a few venues in the village with different things going on, possibly pubs, but as yet I'm yet to approach anyone as I think I definitely need some help and a few more solid ideas with this one first!
If anyone has any suggestions for locations, advertising, acts, or pretty much anything and wants to get involved please let me know and we'll get cracking with it. There is so much local potential and up and coming talents in the area that we really need to show off what we've got to other residents and those from further afield. This could even take on the form of a charity event in order to benefit the local community even further.
