Regarding river levels, the Environment Agency have recently added to their website all their monitoring sites so they can be viewed in real time. An interesting feature if you are interested in local flooding issues. The monitoring site closest for Sutton is at Cross Hills just before Holme Beck goes into the River Aire. The website to find them through is: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/riverlevels/120699.aspx?stationId=8060
