Fossilized tree circa 1905
fossilized tree

Joan Tindale of Cowling sent me this photo showing the discovery of a fossilized tree at "Crag Delph", c.1905. They are Cowling men in the photo - the man with the white beard is Joan's Great Great Grandad John (Ticker) Watson.

Does anybody recognise the location of the photo or have any information about it? There's a Crag Nook and Crag Nook Delph (often referred to as Crag Delph Nook) in Sutton - is there a Crag Delph anywhere else (possibly along Earl's Crag)?
