just found out there is a parish council meeting for Glusburn this wednesday evening at Glusburn institute up for debate is the building of 74 properties off Green Lane. the appeal is being put foward by mr binns the landowner of the fields
according to the craven herald dated the 3rd oct(page 9)the council are not going to contest the appeal
this has been advertised outside crosshills libary, just found out this morning
according to the herald the special planning meeting was week beginning oct 20th!
what we need to know is why the council are not contesting the appeal after julys unanimous rejection of the plans
what happened at the secret meeting?
we need an explanation!!
this concerns all the villages in craven, not just Glusburn

Hi Basil

In reply to your question about Ron King... he lives at number 23 Clayton Hall Road, Crosshills, I know this because we used to live next door to him at number 25.

Basil,

I sincerly hope you don't consider yourself a spokesman of representation for our villiage, there is no easy way to put this and I don't like to be so frank and blunt. You do come across as very rude, way to brash and over the top, half of what you said was incomprehensible as you were shouting too much. Nobody in the room tonight wants this development to go ahead, but your heckling was most off putting.

Anon, I consider myself a spokesman for me. Do not mistake me for a politician. If I am annoyed I become very passionate as you have seen. Quite frankly I do not give a damn what others think about me and will always be true to my own point of view and ideals. Those that share my point of view become my friends and those do not remain at distance, that is the natuaral order of life and it suits me just fine. I realise you and I will probably not be doing dinner anytime soon. I try to be a good person and can not stand any level of corruption. This has certainly been my motivation throughout this campaign.

Joe Bamford is the spokesman for the campaign but there are others who are vocal too and thats why I started this thread.
