Community Café Experience
Hello :)
I’d like to invite you to our “Community Café Experience” at Sutton Village Hall on Monday 24th October from 11am til 2pm.
The event is hosted by Gareth and Veronica who live on Croft Hill will be supported by their personal care assistants. The idea is not to raise funds but to provide a chance for friends and neighbours in the village to get together for a chat over a cuppa and a homemade cake. A light lunch of delicious, homemade soup and chunk of French bread will be served from 12 noon. There will be a small charge to cover costs of refreshments.
We’re planning to have one or two stalls for extra interest including an old fashioned sweet stall.
Everyone is welcome so please do join us.
Hope to see you there!
Best wishes, Katie :)

Thank you E Willis and thank you to everyone who popped in today.
Our community cafe was a roaring success, we had lots of people giving us positive feedback and asking if we'd do it again!
We will do it again! Watch this space - probably a date in December.
It really was lovely to relax and meet people. Some people commented that they met so and so for the first time in years!

Thanks again to everyone who helped, especially the young ladies from South Craven School who worked hard on the day and baked beforehand!

Katie :)

Well done Katie, excellant idea. Keep it going and maybe some of these new "Suttoners" will become active villagers.

Kids are asking if the paper making lady will be there again they were very entertained!! Think it was a great idea to have a child friendly activity going too. We got to have our coffee and cake in peace.!

Thanks David and E Willis! Have a look at the photos.

Amber did a brilliant job with the origami - think we might have started a "new" trend in Sutton or revived an ancient Japanese art!

We're already planning the next one with other interesting activities for all :)
