Historic Document Search
I'm trying to find some documents associated with J W Hartley: his Will, a sale catalogue for Greenroyd and the farms going up for sale about 1912, and a similar one from the 1930s when Emma Hartley died. Can anyone help?

Jayne,
I have the auction list document for the Hayfield property sale of 1938. It is a very substantial document and far too large to send by e mail. If you want a copy I will attempt to make one and somehow get it to you. However, I seem to remember in the dim and distant past letting Paul have a copy. I live in Bingley and do not get through to Sutton as often as I would want. Paul would give you my telephone number if you wish to contact me and arrange delivery. See how you go.

Both those things are excellent. I have to pop to Crossflatts to B & M this week for logs so if you wouldn't mind letting me have a socially distant borrow that would be excellent. Perhaps Paul would email me your number? Thanks

Alan - you did indeed, back in 2006 you dropped off a CD containing a copy of the HAYFIELD document.

Jayne - you can download a PDF version (just over 100MB) at this link...

Thank you for both these, they are excellent.
If anyone has a copy of the 1912 Will that would be tremendous, we tried ordering a copy from the probate office but they sent back the ruling from the dispute.
I know Bradford Library has a copy of the sale catalogue from the farms and Mill from 1912 but it won't be open before I need to put my dissertation in. I also need the sale catalogue of the Trust from 1934, if anyone has one?

Jayne and Paul,
Pleased that it has been found a use for after all this time. I hope that you can find what you want in it Jayne.I didn't realise that it was so long since Paul. Thanks for keeping it.
Alan.
