steeling & trespassing.
To the person that dug up and stole the Mole traps from the field behind the Ravenstones wood.
If you really needed some mole traps I would have loaned you some. If it is some sort of protest against the killing of moles it will only put off the inevitable outcome for one more day.
Method 1.Trapping is the most environmentally friendly.
Method 2. Worms laced with poison. (Other mammals & birds may be affected)
Method 3. Filling the run with propane gas and igniting it.
Method 4. Gassing.
Method 1was my proffered and chosen way .but be assured ”the little chap in the velvet jacket“ will very soon be gone.

On the lighter side of this topic, my old cat used to catch (and kill) moles in the field on the Eastburn side of Royds Hill nursing home and then bring them home for me. It was quite a sight to see him coming along the lane and then up Main Street, half-carrying and half-dragging his prey (and occasionally tripping over it in his enthusiasm!).

To this day, I don't know how he managed it as moles spend so little time above ground. I can only think he sat and listened until one came near the surface and then dug for it like a terrier, but, if anyone know differently, do let me know.

My cat brings moles too - he must be so patient sitting there waiting till one pops up!
