"Sutton Funday was a huge success, it was a superb day, the sun shone, and the proceeds are believed to be the highest ever. With the widening of the park gates it allowed all the attractions to be in the park and to ensure the future of the Funday for years to come. Sutton Village Committee would like to say a big thank you to all who took part in the procession, led by the Bradford City Pipe Band followed by the Retiring Sutton Funday Queen Isabel Beaumont and Attendants, Elena Preston, and Chloe Jackson on a Ford Thunderbird and newly crowned Alana Curtis with attendants Poppy Murgatroyd and Emily Bielby r iding in style in a horse and carriage, the effort put in by all the entrants was outstanding.

In the park we had a large array of attractions, ranging from charity stalls, children's fun and games, local produce and crafts, also a wide variety of funfair attractions provided by Lee's Worldwide Funfairs'. The ever popular ducking stool, live owls, and donkey rides.

The Committee Refreshment Marquees proved to be very popular, with people enjoying a cream tea, whilst watching a full and varied arena of live entertainment, including the May school of dance, the Silver star stompers, the Bradford pipe band, Martin Henderson with his local Samba Band, and Jai Freestyle doing fantastic demonstrations and workshops. Our thanks go to all who performed in the arena, giving top class performances.

The atmosphere on the day was fantastic, and Sutton Village Committee would like to thank All the Volunteer Helpers and everyone involved in making sure the day was so impressive. To Phil and Kate Corp for capturing it all on film. To all the people who provided cakes and scones for the refreshment marquees, the many people who donated tombola prizes, the judges. To Sutton parish council who were a tremendous support donating the park and pavilion to Sutton Village Committee to enable us to hold Sutton Funday.

To all the people who attended and for donating so generously, and finally to all the people who staged this fantastic day doing whatever it took and more to ensure the success of the day, they all did a fantastic job and we thank each and everyone of them for all their hard work, giving up their time for free to support the village Funday."
