Note from Derek Holmes:

I found this photo in the family album, it was taken one Easter - I don't have the correct date but at a guess I would think during the war. It was taken opposite Binns Farm off Green Lane, Glusburn.

Seventh from the left is Derek Holmes, next to me sat down is my brother Kenneth Holmes. The second row girl with hand in mouth is Gladys Holmes. Second row, 2nd from left is my other sister Doreen Holmes and finally there is my mother Gertrude Holmes, four rows up on left, 3rd person to right. Of the ones in the photo of my family, sadly Doreen, Kenneth and my Mother are no longer with us, leaving Gladys and myself Derek.
